The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership of around 23,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
The College’s centre in Birmingham acts as a hub for the circa 11,000 of the College’s Members and Fellows based in England and Wales. The centre hosts a range of educational and professional development activities, it also oversees the College’s relationships with politicians and key healthcare organisations such as NHS England and Health Education England.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit an Outreach Projects and Activities Co-ordinator in either one of our Edinburgh or Birmingham offices. The purpose of the role is to promote and represent the College and build relationships with organisations and groups allied to surgery. Through the development and delivery of activities, events and engagement projects, the Outreach Projects and Activities Co-ordinator will work to engage with potential and existing Fellows, Members and Affiliates.
Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who has proven ability in project or event planning and development, is confident and has a conscientious and flexible approach to work. You should have a good level of education with at least Advanced Higher Grade/A-Level/HNC or HND/Degree level or equivalent.
