International School of Surgery

As one of the largest and oldest surgical organisations worldwide, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's International School of Surgery (ISS) aims to coordinate and develop the College's wide-stretching portfolio of international activities, as well as to engage more effectively with its growing membership and partner organisations around the world.

Proud of being a truly global College - with a membership of over to 23,000 Fellow, Members and Affiliates in over 100 countries worldwide - the aim of the ISS is to brings together the College's wide range of international activities, events, courses and exams.

The ISS is dedicated to developing and delivering new international opportunities for the College's Fellows, Members and Affiliates, and to support our international membership through a combination of online and locally-delivered activities.

As well as the development and engagement of a growing RCSEd International Surgical Advisor Network, the ISS offers educational support for surgeons and dental professionals throughout their careers, from training and beyond, by providing opportunities for continuing professional development with the College.
