Regional Dental Advisers
The College's Regional Dental Advisers (RDAs) provide a vital link between the Faculty of Dental Surgery and its membership at a local level. RDAs promote the Faculty by providing information and advice on careers, training and examinations to trainees and dental surgeons at all professional levels, and feedback to the Faculty with the views of the region's membership.
The Dental Faculty's RDA network includes over 30 advisers across the UK and nine countries worldwide, including New Zealand, South Africa and the USA. Where necessary, RDAs also act as mentors and tutors for examination candidates, providing one-to-one specialist advice and guidance.
Regional Dental Advisers also organise local meetings and training events on behalf of the Dental Faculty to improve communication and to strengthen links between the College and its membership. To find your nearest RDA based in the UK please see below.

| Professor Callum Youngson |
Professor / Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Head of School at Liverpool Dental School and Hospital. He has been a member of the SAB in Restorative Dentistry, in various guises, since 1999 and has acted as examiner in many Dental Faculty examinations. |
| Professor Nick Grey |
Professor of Dental Education/Director of Student Experience and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, The University of Manchester. Nick Grey qualified in 1985 at the University of Sheffield and he is presently Professor of Dental Education in the School of Dentistry at Manchester. He has been Head of the School of Dentistry and also the Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning and in 2010, Nick was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by the Higher Education Academy.

| Dr Brian Nattress |
Senior Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the Leeds Dental Institute and Associate Postgraduate Dental Dean for the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery. He is a member of Dental Council, serves as the Regional Adviser for Yorkshire and sits on the Specialty Advisory Board in Restorative Dentistry. |

Reader and Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield. He is an experienced teacher at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and has been an examiner for the Membership in Orthodontics at Edinburgh since 2008. |

Consultant Orthodontist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. She has been an examiner for MOrth since June 2009 and RDA for the Oxford region. |

Consultant Orthodontist based in Northwest London. She has been a Fellow of the College since 1983 and is a member of the Faculty of Examiners. She has been actively engaged with RCSEd activities for over 15 years. |

Consultant Orthodontist in Dorchester and has been a Fellow of the Faculty since 1997. She has been a Regional Adviser since 2004, most recently for the South West of England (Dorset and Somerset). She is also an examiner for the Membership in Orthodontics Examination. |

Consultant Orthodontist at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. She is a past elected member of Dental Council, is on the Advisory Board for Orthodontics and has been an examiner for the last 11 years. She has a particular interest in training and education. |

Dr Gerry McKenna is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in Queens University Belfast. He completed undergraduate training in Newcastle followed by academic specialist training in University College Cork. Gerry is currently an MFDS examiner for the college and has examined in Edinburgh, London and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He has been a fellow of the Faculty since 1987 and Regional Adviser for Grampian since 2000. He is currently an examiner in MFDS and holds a Diploma and Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the College. |

Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Dundee Dental Hospital and School. She is involved with training at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is 4th BDS examinations convenor and Training Programme Director for Restorative Dentistry in the North East of Scotland. Currently an examiner in MFDS and ISFE for the College.
